Using good tetrinet theme will help you to win the game. Don't use tetrinet theme that has weird background that cause you can not see the tetris blocks clearly. Don't use tetrinet theme that has weird special block images unless you are familiar with them. If you want a good tetrinet theme, I would recommend you to use TetrinetX ver 2.0 theme. Click here to see its preview. (26K) Download TetrinetX ver 2.0 Theme. Note: To use it, just execute tetrinet2.exe, choose your tetrinet directory, go to misc setting, and change the theme setting. Now, I am gonna explain to you the function of each component of tetrinetX 2 theme. Vertical lines: These lines will help you not to place your tetris blocks incorrectly again :) Red horizontal line: If you want to switch your field, screw up your field until that red line limit because if you screw up your field over that red line, your field will be lowered. Highlighted special blocks (G, N, and S): This will make easier for you to detect if there is 'G', 'N', or 'S' special block on your field or other players' field. Blue arrow at the middle: This blue arrow is located at the row where your face down blue stick will come. Face down blue stick is very evil and often kill tetrinet players including me. So, when your field is very high, try not to fill in this row, and when the face down blue stick is coming, just press "spacebar" to stick the blue stick into its space. Small numbers at other players' fields: Hehehe... this is very evil. These numbers will not only tell you how close you are to win the game, but also they will tell you how many A's you have to add to someone to make him die. For example, if you have 5 A's and you know your opponent has 'N' and his field is very high. Don't use your A's yet until the highest tetrinet block of your opponent reaches row number 5. Why? If you add 5 A's to your opponent before they reach row number 5, he will still alive and he can nuke his field. However, when he reaches row number 5 and you add 5 A's to him very very fast, he will be panic and has no time to use his 'N' block. If you have no enough A's to kill your opponent, try to build 2 lines, 3 lines, or a tetris and combine it with your A's. |
